Angela Hwang

Angela grew up in South Africa during apartheid, an experience that shaped her commitment to advancing leadership and innovation. She earned a BA in Microbiology and Biochemistry from the University of Cape Town and an MBA from Cornell. Over two decades at Pfizer, Angela worked across all geographic regions and therapeutic areas, culminating in her role as Group President of Pfizer’s Biopharmaceuticals Group. Now, as CEO of Metaphore Biotechnologies, she is combining machine learning with molecular mimicry to develop new transformative medicines. Angela also serves on the board of UPS.
