Teresa Carlson

Growing up in Somerset, Kentucky, and earning degrees in communications and speech pathology from Western Kentucky University, Teresa Carlson began her journey far from technology's center. She spent a decade at Microsoft, where she led the U.S. Federal Business, and moved to Amazon, where she founded and led Worldwide Public Sector and regulated industries for AWS. Following senior roles at Splunk and Flexport, Teresa was the Founding CEO of the General Catalyst Institute. In 2026, she joined Anthropic to work with governments around the world on their AI adoption. She is on the board of PagerDuty.
