Sallie Krawcheck

Sallie grew up in Charleston, graduated from the University of North Carolina, and earned her MBA from Columbia. She began her career as an analyst at investment research firm Stanford Bernstein, rose to CEO there, and moved on to head wealth management and serve as CFO of Citigroup. Sallie led global wealth management at Bank of America before leaving to become an entrepreneur. In 2015, she launched Ellevest, a digital investment platform for women, and led the company as CEO until 2024. Sallie joined the board of Duolingo in 2026.
