Michelle Volz

Michelle grew up in Lakeville, Minnesota, and earned a BS from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from MIT Sloan. She started out in product and growth roles at venture-backed startups before joining Andreessen Horowitz, where she rose to partner, investing in companies across defense, energy, and industrial systems. In 2025, Michelle founded Pax Ventures, which backs early-stage founders building critical infrastructure to strengthen economic resilience and national security.
