Yolanda Sanders

Yolanda grew up in Altadena, California, the youngest of 12 children. She studied sociology at UC Berkeley, earned her law degree at UC Law San Francisco, and spent nine years at Morrison & Foerster before building her own consulting practice. Joining Gap as a contract attorney in 2003, she rose to General Counsel of the Athleta division and then SVP and General Counsel of Gap Inc. Yo came into JOURNEY as an inaugural Fellow (Class of 2022-23), joined the board after graduating to Member, and in 2026 was tapped to be JOURNEY’s first CEO.
